Austin has no shortage of beautiful places to say "I do," and after years of DJing weddings across Central Texas, we have some real favorites. These are the wedding venues in Austin, Texas that we love, starting with the ones DJ Lady T has worked at personally and followed by a few iconic spots we would love to bring our sound and lighting to next.
For each venue, you'll find what makes it special, the setting, published capacity where the venue or a trusted directory lists it, and a practical DJ tip from our team at Urban Opulence Entertainment.
Austin wedding venues we've DJed
Tuscan Hall
DJ Lady T is a preferred vendor at Tuscan Hall and has DJed both in the main hall and in the intimate Veranda Room. It is one of our favorite places to work. The property sits on a limestone plateau in southwest Austin with an Old World, Tuscan feel: large stone steps, a tumbling waterfall, a piazza-style courtyard with a marble gazebo for ceremonies, the Waterfall Patio with watertop flame features and the oak-shaded Tuscan Terrace. The intimate Veranda Room adds a Juliet balcony, a mahogany staircase and its own private courtyard. Here Comes The Guide lists capacity for up to 100 guests, and Tuscan Hall lists the Veranda Room for up to 50.
DJ tip: Amplified music is allowed outdoors with some restrictions, so we confirm the venue's rules early and plan a smooth move from the gazebo to the reception space. Read more on our Tuscan Hall wedding DJ page.
Chapel Dulcinea
Just down Crystal Hills Drive, Chapel Dulcinea is an outdoor ceremony site with garden, woods and panoramic Hill Country views. Here Comes The Guide lists outdoor ceremony seating for 60, plus dressing rooms and the Spence Diamond Pavilion for champagne toasts or a small cake cutting. It also offers evening "Night Flame" weddings between 8:30 and 10pm.
DJ tip: Ceremonies here are short and outdoors, so clear officiant and vow microphones matter more than volume. We cue the processional and recessional precisely, then help guests transition to a nearby reception.
Zilker Botanical Garden
Zilker Botanical Garden covers 26 acres inside Zilker Metropolitan Park, with ceremony spots that range from the Memorial Arch and the Butterfly Garden Gazebo to the Taniguchi Japanese Garden Tea House. For larger celebrations, the Oak Grove, the Promenade and the Alcove each hold up to 150 standing or 100 seated, according to the garden's 2026 rental guidebook.
DJ tip: This venue rewards planning. Amplified sound needs a permit on file 10 days before your rental, outdoor spaces generally close at sunset, and the Oak Grove is the only fully electrified outdoor area with evening lighting. Confetti, sparklers and open flames are not allowed, so we lean on lighting and music to create the big moments.
Inn Cahoots
Inn Cahoots on East 6th Street calls itself a live music resort, and it shows. The campus combines a group-travel hotel with event spaces including a 2,400-square-foot rooftop with a stage and sound system, the Studio Bar, a private Secret Garden with its own stage and the 26,000-square-foot Austin Garden. On-site lodging makes it easy to host the welcome party, wedding and after-party in one place.
DJ tip: With stages and serious power available, Inn Cahoots is a great fit for a high-energy production with moving heads and a full light show. We map out which space hosts each part of the night so the energy never dips.
The Arlo
The Arlo sits at 10700 Signal Hill in southwest Austin, between the city and Dripping Springs at the edge of the Hill Country. The purpose-built, 15,000-square-foot venue has a modern white farmhouse look, light-filled interiors, expansive windows framing Hill Country views and a courtyard garden with a fireplace. Community Impact reported seating for up to 300 when it opened.
DJ tip: Tall ceilings and lots of glass mean speaker placement matters, and the white interiors are a perfect canvas for uplighting in your colors. Read why we love it on our Arlo and Camino Real Ranch post.
Austin venues we'd love to work with
Laguna Gloria
The Contemporary Austin's Laguna Gloria sits on about 14 acres on Lake Austin, roughly five miles from downtown. Its Italianate Driscoll Villa was built in 1916 for Clara Driscoll and her husband, inspired by a honeymoon trip to Lake Como, and the site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Sculptures by international artists dot the grounds. We'd love to bring our ceremony audio and soft garden lighting to this lakeside landmark.
Barr Mansion
Barr Mansion in northeast Austin pairs a historic Eastlake Victorian mansion with a glass-walled ballroom and an open-air farmstead. Ceremonies can happen in the courtyard, under the pecan tree or on the mansion porch, and the seasonal menus use organic produce grown on the property. Here Comes The Guide lists capacity for up to 350 guests. We're ready to work with Barr Mansion on a ballroom reception that glows after dark.
UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum
Near Zilker Park, UMLAUF offers a limestone and steel ceremony arbor for up to 200 guests and seated dinner receptions for up to 250, surrounded by bronze and stone sculptures. Here Comes The Guide notes amplified music is permitted indoors and outdoors with some restrictions. We'd love to light up a reception among the sculptures.
DJ tips for every kind of Austin venue
- Garden and outdoor ceremonies: Open air swallows sound, so we use dedicated ceremony speakers and wireless microphones for your officiant and readers.
- Hill Country estates: When the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are in different spaces, we plan a soundtrack for each one and time every transition.
- Venues with sound rules or permits: We confirm permits, power locations and end times with your venue well in advance.
- Evening receptions: Uplighting, dance-floor wash lights and moving heads finish the look. See our wedding lighting guide for ideas.
A bilingual MC for Austin families
DJ Lady T is a bilingual English and Spanish DJ and MC, so introductions, toasts, traditions and announcements can be delivered in English, Spanish or both. The dance floor can move from cumbia and Tejano to hip-hop, country, R&B and today's hits without missing a beat. Learn more on our Austin wedding DJ page.
